Small update,
After the summer holidays I noticed the car was struggling a bit although recent numbers suggested still making good power.
No oil consumption but increased lag and loss of power in low revs. Compression was still the same as when I left the UK with 10bar in 3 cylinders and 9 in the last 2 so I suspected a possible gasket issue.
In addition the engine noise was quite loud and tappets may have needed replacing
So we decided to pull the head for inspection and service.
We were faced with a complete damage of both camshafts on their necks, and all valves had increased play.
My mistake was to have used SS instead of inconel exhaust valves but I can't explain the damage of the inlet valves.
So I ended up finding a complete AAN head ready made by Audi uncracked, bought 2 new camshafts ADU and put the car back together with compression at 12bar now in 3 cylinders and 11.8 in 2 cylinders.
Pretty soon I'll be able to know what the gtx3071 gen 2 does in an engine that is working properly
