Small update,
After the summer holidays I noticed the car was struggling a bit although recent numbers suggested still making good power.

No oil consumption but increased lag and loss of power in low revs. Compression was still the same as when I left the UK with 10bar in 3 cylinders and 9 in the last 2 so I suspected a possible gasket issue.
In addition the engine noise was quite loud and tappets may have needed replacing

So we decided to pull the head for inspection and service.

We were faced with a complete damage of both camshafts on their necks, and all valves had increased play.

My mistake was to have used SS instead of inconel exhaust valves but I can't explain the damage of the inlet valves.

So I ended up finding a complete AAN head ready made by Audi uncracked, bought 2 new camshafts ADU and put the car back together with compression at 12bar now in 3 cylinders and 11.8 in 2 cylinders.

Pretty soon I'll be able to know what the gtx3071 gen 2 does in an engine that is working properly

And as usual fate has it, on a drive for boost setup, the slave cylinder gave up and had to be towed . At least I realised that my mac valve was not working properly after 10 years of use. Not bad

and of course as i mentioned on another thread, engine had to be completely rebuild with new crank, new block and the rest of it.

recent upgrade driver and passenger shelves from Audi tradition.

I have the recirc flap pump malfunctioning and unfortunately that means removing the whole dash and air con to reach and replace which is a bitch, so I have it mechanically shut for now.

almost 1000kms and up to 1.4bar of boost.
will be checking compression shortly and currently running 0w40 Mobil 1 oil.

Mobil 1 0w40 was just to see what it does as supposedly it's a very good oil for high end vehicles. So far, I see no oil consumption whatsoever and I have done almost 4000kms. Within those quite a few pulls as I'm testing for knock and various mapping options.

Bigger test will be this summer though as we reach 35+C in Greece therefore it will show how it can cope.
