I've just been out for my first sunny sunday drive in the S2 (now officially called Roxy thanks to the Misses!)

I...LOVE...THIS...CAR!!!! I spent most the time above 4000rpm and the average of 17MPG shows the fun I was having! And going through tunnels will never get tiring! I didnt even have the radio on once in the hour drive

Bit of knocking from the front left still which i think is the damper, so that might have to come out again, and the ABS light came on which i think is an intermittant sensor so nothing major really. Overall I'd say a great success!

Water temps sat perfectly at about 85deg C and even with spirited driving didnt really rise above 90degC ever.

Think i need to play with the seat as it feels far too high for me, bit of modding may be needed!

    What next....hmmmmm......

Everyone who sees the car says it amazing, but shame about the paint i think that's the next big job!

if you google the code that National Autos use for these discs, you'll find them being sold for £240+ doubt they'll be any different!

Nope they're from National Auto - take a look at this thread:
    http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50472

Wouldn't be surprised if National Auto supplied Black Diamond disks! These were only £90 a pair you can choose what groove pattern you want, coatings etc, ordered them through Camskill.co.uk

Count me as another bloke who sat and read the whole way through your build thread, front to back.

    Hats off to you, sir!

As good as the effort you put into prepping and finishing.

I didn't smooth the engine bay too much as it wasn't needed

It was just rattle can paints. Got them from paints4u.co.UK I didn't fancy going down the 2pack route

I've steam cleaned the gearbox and started painting it up

Painting of the engine bay, drivers side done, passenger side nearly done.

Painted the cross brace but ran out of paint...more on the way!!

Here are the fuel lines looking nice and pretty! (for those keen eyed...the steering rack still isnt in finally and the bulkhead seal will go in!)

    Minor Tweaking is still needed

What paint did you use for this and where did you buy it out of interest?
