Well... at this point in time I have no intention of going all the way down to a shell... but you know how things escalate..

Seriously, I want to get enough stuff off the car to replace and weld all the rusty bits. Sort out anything underneath that needs doing, its had brake pipes and fuel lines etc recently enough. Full glass out repaint. Try and source a nice leather interior. Tidy up the engine bay. Motor has not done that many miles and I had the turbo off and sorted it all out a couple of years back. Its basically mostly about getting the car dry inside again cutting out all the rust and getting some serious wax back on it again.

When you said "dipped" did you mean the whole shell? Stripped back to metal??

yeah acid dip. I think if i was going for a full resto I'd have to do it bare shell upwards, or it'd always niggle me

Hmm, I wonder... Anyway the car is going over to Keith's in Lingfield as soon as James' race car shell is done and we'll finish stripping and see what we've got to work with.

I got the rest of the interior out today, roof is shot, the rust on the outside is coming from the inside where the skin rests on the internals.

I think its going to have to be a new roof
