Good luck with the project, not sure why but I had completely missed this thread. Certainly a fair bit of work, did you decide to have the shell dipped in the end?

No the shell has not been dipped but a very thorough job is being done on it. I bought another shell and we are basically making a good one out of the two plus a roof kindly donated by a chap on classic audi (both shells had bad rot in the roof) and the back end of another car that's been in a field here for about 10 years for the rear panel and bits of sill, it's a jigsaw puzzle. Keith at K Spray has been doing all the hard work and it's coming along pretty well.

Shell is empty, was bare metal now in primer, still a little work to do before paint. It's been long...........

Mine needs similar. I have to change the roof skin too. Its cracked on the corners of the sunroof.
