i would like to try a widebody with standard bumpers, but it would be too obvious i think

wouldnt use RS4 rear 1/4`s id use the ones like 034 used on their track car

You should be able to use stock rear, front maybe at a big push.

but..............................................i ts no longer a sleeper so ruining the point of that

just leave the body stock and up the power. don't forget the nitrous

i dont want to *******ize it by fitting huge wheels and making it look like a rotweiler with rabies.

thats why i want 16 or 17" steels, spaced and lowered, stanced..... but not looking like its gonna smash your face up for looking at his missus lol

todays thrilling installment of the Sleeper files

went to work, wiped a few idiots backsides after snapping caliper bolts in a mk5 golf..... putting them IN!!!

had enough so went to the garage about 3pm, after i spent a couple of hours freeing off, stripping and cleaning the threads on my coilovers

will get the bodies media blasted and paint or powdercoat them before they go on.

i stole another set yesterday i forgot to take out of the van while collecting the rest of the bits, (sorry Pete!! )
so will use these untill i get these back in a week or two
i also got the back end all bolted up, hubs, wishbones, driveshafts, coilovers,

AND......... the Locking rear diff!

also tried a steel wheel on the back, needs 10mm spacers but thats the height im after, what a guess lol

Also you can clearly see the B4 and B5 propshaft length diferences....... B5 longer of the two.
(measured, marked and put to one side)

anyway, piccie time













i will try to collect a set of wheels and topmounts for the front struts tomorow too, £65 a side for topmounts......... damn thats expensive!!!!

coming on nicely now, i can smell victory, and AAN mongrel fumes

how much! them top mounts are expensive, have you checked passat one's. You'd get a complete passat coilover setup for around £20 more than those two top mounts

using my old B5 one, as B4 centre bearing is no good

you need prop and coilies back ok mate, still pay you though what i said yesterday

tell you what though, i cannot wait to get rid of that rotten B5 rear end, 250+k miles hasnt done it any favours!

i dropped the diff on my hand too, thats why i left early lol

so tomorow, front end bolted up and push the car outside, another tidyup, push A4 to the back of the garage ready fot the weekend with MIG, grinder and some gas!!!!
then we can be making some mounts

oh, and the gearbox mounts dont fit in the tunnel, so will have to fabricate something else, but this will allow for a huge downpipe.......... nice

so how much lighter you going with the shell i.e. removing the spare wheel well, brackets, etc There must still be a bit of weight to remove.
