My AAN 2.2 20v Turbo B5 A4 Avant build

Next job is to make the brake lines after removing the ABS with BIAS adjustable, cockpit mounted dial adjuster and fit the drivers seat i have

sorted the gear linkage tonight........... cut, sectioned, re-made, welded up and re fitted (multiple times, multiple burns and swears lol)

STILL feels typical audi SHYTE gearchange, not happy with it at all.
i am getting rid of the front "joint" and replacing it with a rose joint when its all up and running, should only be an hours work as all the hard work is done.

Dropping my propshaft off tomorrow to get shortened by 148mm

finished/spanner checked the whole rear end, diff, shafts, mounts, uprights, coilovers etc so dont ned to touch it again untill it all gets replaced with the spare subframe fitted with new solid bushes, all new arms, poly bushed wishbones, NEW and zinc coated bolts swopped all in one go.

mocked up the pain in the **** gearbox mounts.........worst job ive ever had to do on the car yet!!
i have 12mm clearance from bolt holes on the o/s on the g/box to the floorpan..........
gearbox up, gearbox down, mark, measure, gearbox up, etc etc etc etc 2 hours of this **** lol

also got my suspension mocked up how i want it.
bear in mind its a stripped, single seat, no electrics whatsoever (bar lights and wipers) "road legal" all out track car

Stance? oh yes, we got stance........... more importantly, we now have adjustment for propper camber and track setups

not everyone will like it....... and its not "scene" so dont even go there or you will seriously p1s5 me off!

this is mock up, just waiting to pay for my new front strut inserts, crossmember solid bushings.
will be on Alloy front uprights when they arrive after the weekend hopefully (these save 5kgs a side!!!!! )

also just secured the sale of all matching silver parts from an excelent condition breaker!

both wings (i punched dints in then lol)
un chopped front bumper
bonnet with no aero catches
standard front pannel with radiator

I CAN MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A GRANDAD MOBILE AGAIN!!!!!!!! YAAAAY!!!!!

no more of "whats in that mate? Why has it got bonnet pins?"

more updates on monday, hopefully mockup will be all done, with gearbox mounts made atc.

p.s this is the clearance i have for the g/box mounts........... lol

gearbox mounts fabricated today.......

VERY happy how these turned out

VERY hard work and labour intensive

consists of 3 pieces:
o/s gearbox bracket
n/s gearbox bracket
link bracket that will mount to chassis mount via same style bush x2 as engine mounts

have my son all weekend so cant get oily untill monday, well looking forward to bolting these in place!

make the chassis mount (10 mins work if i take my time)

bolt the 2 parts together

then hopefully collect my shortened prop on tuesday

then rip the engine and box back out for the last time of the dummy build

getting close, i can taste the unburnt fuel as it fires up just thinking about it....... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
