New block went in 2 weeks ago and now has the head, water pump, cambelt & pulley, exhaust & a few other things on it. Taking my time, cleaning & refurbishing and replacing bolts with stainless as I go. Starting to look like an engine and is all timed up and torqued down now.
The vacuum conversion on the brakes was a pig with the ABY fuel lines but I've sorted that with brute force and so just have to get a vacuum connection to the servo and adjust the rod in the car.
Pictures are on my camera so will update when I'm on an actual computer.

- RS2 water pump and billet crank pully by James Dorey
- Lightened 7A flywheel with an SRE organic clutch & INA metal release bearing
- Baffled sump
- JNL Racing head with ported exhaust and multi angle valve seats
- JNL Racing port matched OE inlet manifold
- RS2 cambelt, INA tensioner & new chain
- NGK BKR7EIX plugs gapped to 0.6mm
- Vacuum brake servo conversion
- Lots of painting and cleaning!
- Stainless fasteners, where appropriate
- Engine timing
- Lots, lots more...

The sump was modified for me by Aelred Smith, so not sure where he took it. I'll drop him line.
Got the inlet, PAS pump and a few other bits on as well as more cleaning and painting & figuring out the vacuum servo connection before coming down with the lurgy yesterday. Not felt this rough for a while...Cheers'en, AndyC

That view is from the side of the sump with the wing removed. Its a good mod and made a big difference on my car.The ONLY S2 Golf!
