Thanks for cutting up and sharing. Always interesting and a good reference.
Dave will also 'enjoy' those photos.
Enjoying following the thread / progress, so you have an audience of at least two.
Glad the orange is covered up.

I cut old muffler to pieces, now I understand why the car is much smoother with new one.
You don't need to be rocket scientist to understand that something is wrong.
Here, the air goes in very ''smoothly''. It's hard to see but pipes inside are broken too.
Red marked area was emty.
Here U can see also nice air out going (right side)
Here is very ''smooth'' air outflow.

New exhaust done! Much lighter and a little bit quieter. Luckily it fits quite tight in original position. Feels much smoother, but maybe because of the huge hole in my wallet

Bought new (someone's old) gas tank. My tank had a tiny hole somewhere and when I putted 044 pump in, then I saw a little rust inside too, new one was ok.
So I cleaned everything and painted also. Used same things as on the bottom.
It is not dry yet.

Final coat is on. When I start with the rear axle then I can check if everything is coated correctly.
All new rear brake lines also in place.
Little bit of other side also done. The rest of it must wait till I replace gas lines. Hopefully next month
