      Not really useful no.
I am aware of what that is, and yes I need to develop the same box, but it's pretty easy to do. Just don't have time.

        @mrtat2k9

My stuff on bay... so ask me everything you want...

        @prj

thank you for criticizing my offer ;-) without ever holding the PKM solution in your own hands ;-) so tell us why you aware of that even though you are planning to develop the same?? I am confused about that. The PKM box is used in many S2 for years now... up to 750HP...

It works and PKM knows much what he is doing...

Because for a custom tune, that box is not needed.
Everything can be done by recalibrating the Motronic properly, instead of using a piggyback.

Unfortunately, not even DAMOS or Funktionsrahmen will help you calibrate the Motronic for a different MAF.
A full disassemble and tracing electronics with a scope at many points is needed to understand how it works.

Funktionsrahmen just says "KFUN"... without much explanation.
I believe Bosch calibrated the LMM using a special in house tool, which no one has.

          P.S.
I have got 3 cars running in russia with HFM5 connected directly to ECU, 1 car in UK and 2 cars in Estonia.
          No box needed!

As for the development - I am planning to develop a box so people can use a HFM5 without altering their current chipset.
Fit it to stock/chipped/rs2-ed car and have the car behave exactly like before, without touching the ECU.

I believe I explained that in this thread many times.

I dont read every posting...but development in this sector is amazing... my motronic time is over now... it is everybodys individual decision to buy or not to buy... or to drop the whole motronic stuff... I do not try to persuade anybody to anything... it is an offer... not more...

                    Too bad.
Probably should have helped you more, as I don't see any point to put aftermarket ECU on these cars unless you want the car for pure dragracing.
Especially after I post all my info... this will happen soon(tm).

you dont need an aftermarket for purely dragracing. Dont oversimplify things.

nowdays you can easily fit an aftermarket ecu and be as good as the motronic, simpler, still safe and easy to be tuned by any tuner, and not the very few remaining that know the old motronic.

however, ill give that to you, that what you have done and are doing to that old ECU is trully amazing, and you just came a bit too late for some of us. Whether that is good or bad, its a different story.

I will eventually post all data for free about the M2.3.2 ECU.
The secrets have gone on way too long

The gear required to tune it is:
                        2x Moates Ostrich 2.0, 350$
                        1x Latch adapter, 37.10$
                        1x SLC DIY2, 190$
                        1x Programmer 70$

Total is around 650$ not including shipping.
It is possible to use just 1 emulator though...
RS4 MAF's can be had at around 120 EUR, if needed, etc.

I think it is a good option.

Also, there are not that many ECU's which are as good as the stock management.
VEMS is not quite there yet, KMS I did not like yet either.
Tatech, MOTEC, Autronic, but they are very expensive, especially if you want a plug and play solution.

There are legitimate uses for standalones, but I think most standalones have been fitted not because the stock system is bad or hitting limitations, but because almost no one knows how to tune it.

Btw, realistic design limit for Motronic in Porsche guise is about 700 crank hp.
After that you have to start underscaling LOAD to get where you want.

Doing this you can probably get to 1000hp, but it's not using the ECU as it was intended by it's designer.

exactly what i meant, but you also have to take into account that for anyone who tunes the car a little bit at a time, having motronic and yourself to readjust the map for every change would end up costing the amount of an aftermarket ecu (even the expensive ones).

For those who do one upgrade all at once and that is it, sure, its more logical now that there are the solutions for the motronic to go that way.

also, just because you think the aftermarket ECU are not as good as the motronic, doesnt mean we have to agree with you.

Let's put some life into the thread.

Today I received the evaluation board for the ADUC814 microcontroller.
It has an on-board 12 bit DAC and ADC, 12 bit should be precise enough (5V/2^12 = 1.22mV precision).

I will be writing the test software for it, and trying on a car.
I have decided initially not to try and come up with a connector. Instead, the initial boards will have terminals, that will allow wires to be connected to it directly and fastened down.

This would mean cutting off the stock connector, and fitting the little box directly to the existing wires, which would then have a HFM5 connector exiting it.

Here is a picture of the evaluation board. It is quite big and has a lot of stuff on it, but the processor itself is tiny. I put a 5p coin next to the processor as a size comparison.
The finished custom board will be probably about 4-5x the size of the processor itself - very small.
