Right, thanks to Kev for the brackets and to RE2500 (James) for the car and help

I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Looking good...whats the toal cost of this as an bolt on upgrade inc discs? Looking at my rears today, they are looking tired and timing looks good for a change rather than bolting on another set of 5p piece sized rears

Discs are from £30, pads are from £20, not sure on the kit price yet, will have to get a batch quote...

My fancy discs were £102, DS2500 pads £60...

Looks great, nice easy bolt-on upgrade

Maybe I missed it but were the discs 114.3 PCD and you drilled them out to make 112?

I'll be keeping an eye on this too, I recently changed the rear calipers and discs on mine but couldnt afford to do the S8 upgrade so will be keeping an eye on this.

Yup, 5x114 72mm bore. Take the holes out to 17mm, fit the spigot, bolt on the bracket. Done. We had to do some fettling, as I'd been very cautious with the bracket design and made it a tad tight... I.e. negative clearance James and I made the appropriate changes to the design, so I'll get a quote.

Do people want 302s or 314s? Be good to get an idea if numbers...

my tommi makinen rotors are 5x114.3 too .... do you mean that "maybe" could be used in our front hubs too with easy mods drilling?

                      good work Andy,as always

by the way... what is it a spigot? do you have a picture?

A spigot is a ring of material that is used to make up for a difference in diameter. Most aftermarket wheels use them to enable fitting to many different cars...

I think 314 would be great, if they fit in the 16" AVUS. Otherwise 302.

                              As proven in the photos:-

They're tight (maybe 5mm clearance) but fit. I will be running a 15mm spacer, so there will be loads of room.

Yeah this setup worked really well and a credit to Rusty's design it is as "bolt on" as you could hope . I have 1 little mod to make on the prototype brackets on a manual mill just to tidy our fettling up and re-anodise. But once done i'll be fitting the 302mm option (silver discs in pics) and i'll be sure to put up plenty of pics from start to finish showing 16" and 17" wheels fitted, and show the side on comparison to the 314mm 996 fronts. It will be a perfect way of increasing brake performance and getting rid of our "mcvities" rear brakes.
