I can, but that's not going to help you.
There is nothing wrong with your knock sensors. You posted in a thread that you are at 10.9 afr, pressure test it. Of course it runs like crap when it's so rich.Comment

OK, i WILL eat humble pie! I pressure tested the car today, literally spent all day on it and it was like a sieve! Multiple small hose leaks (from bad or loose clips!), intercooler (lucky i had a perfect spare!), and the ISV. Fixed them all and the car holds pressure perfectly
However, the car now pulls perfectly, really well , , , , , , , until it gets warm, then you can feel it pulling back, ive tried ANOTHER pressure test when hot which revealed nothing at all, so although ive improved it, im still no further

Coils breaking down when hot?Comment

My only thought was; the piddley standard intercooler isn't doing its job? (I only ran it on spinks 290 ecu today!)
I'm going to do some runs with vag-com tomorrow. Does anyone know what temp the intake temp should be? I know it's a vague question with lots of variables but what is 'unacceptable' so to speak?Comment

Not sure what the parentage of that ECU is, but if its pushing an alleged 290bhp on ABY or AAN then its going to be right on the upper limit with OE turbo, injectors etc - especially on AAN with its teeny intercooler as air temps will be over 40C I would guesstimate...
If you feel it pulling back, then just hope that the ECU is actively detecting knock at increased air temps... or maybe you have coils or POS going bad with the thermal abuse.
Be certain that HT boots and plugs are good too... and what boost pressure are you seeing across the rev range at WOT ?Paul Nugent

Yeh, the intercooler is pathetic! I had the ecu off spink when I didn't have as much money to throw at cars now A FMIC is planned along with an RS2 set up. But first I must get it running right!
It feels like a general lack rather than any single misfire. When it's holding back the exhaust tone is off too. Almost like a rushing of air from the from the rear of the car!
The HT boots are new ones, fitted recently. I will take my standard ecu in to work with me tomorrow and see how it is standard.Comment

Was gonna suggest you try a stock ECU - nothing like as aggressive so doesn't put as much stress on ignition etc as things get hotPaul Nugent

Ah! I see that it was you that had issue with this before! One thing that could affect things when hot other than heatsoak is the G62 coolant sensor:

Difficult to tell if its just degredation after repeated pulls or a fault as such. If you suspect its engine temperature related you could try warming the car up before going for a pull. If it performs as expected then you will have to put it down to heatsoak. It is unseasonally warm at the moment.Comment
