If by "superiority complex" you mean somebody who honestly probably has more C4 UrS4 and UrS6 information on all topics on *THIS* forum and who shows up here daily checking to see if there are questions that he probably has the the answer to and who just loves to share this information and wants to be the one to help find the solution to the problems that get posted here, then yes, you are absolutely correct. That fits me to a "T".

Oh, yeah, and my fees are reasonable.

All I charge is a "Thanks".

But hey, if you really don't want my help, no problemo.

Copy and pasted? WHO do you think wrote all those posts that I am trying to get you to act on? My cat?

So yes, good luck. I will refrain from trying to help you further. (My head hurts too much )

Previously in this thread, I have pointed HMS-S6 to my detailed AAN ECU pin-out post and suggested that he start checking for continuity from the devices to the ECU. However, that is apparently more work than typing question after question, hoping for a miracle answer.

So, once again, in this thread:

AAN Pin-out with wire colours and hyperlinks to more info about the devices in question: http://12v.org/urs/RevisedMotronicECUDiagram_1.jpg

And Robin, yes, the MAF and injectors are on the same fuse, S72 (UrS4 S116 UrS6), beige (light brown) fuse holder above the ECU.

    Dave,

You have no right to talk to anyone like that on here least of all me!

Not that I have to explain myself but I'm asking questions on here while balancing running a business, looking after my two kids and building work so no I've not had a few merry hours to check continuity in the footwell of my car.

With your attitude pleasee don't post on this thread again, helpful or not, you come across as someone on the other end of a keyboard with somewhat of a superiority complex.

Ok, I've just very crudely upped the fuel pressure and the AFR read richer. Not nearly rich enough but richer. I know this isn't a fix but my thought process was that it has ruled out poor spark. The car is definitely lean running! And yes the fuel pressure is perfect!

One last suggestion. There is a common wire on both the Maf and the injectors which is the power! I think on the S6 its probably one by the ecu. I am not sure whether this is just a ordinary fuse or one of the current breaker types. Either way replacement temporarily with a new fuse of the correct rating wouldn't hurt!
    Out of ideas for tonight!

    Couple of thoughts.

Am I correct in saying that the last time the injectors were swapped was before the fuel lines were replaced? There may have been something in the new fuel lines which has contaminated the injectors.

In the 3B/ABY there are two multipin connectors on the firewall, over near the brake master cyl, which connect the main car loom to the engine loom, have you cleaned them? I'm not even sure if any of the ECU signal go through then BTW but I know they are prone to corrosion.

Well that fits into the its on the car theory. The ecu sends a regulated voltage out and recieves a variable one back so it could only be one of those two. But you would have though it would be out throughout the range even at idle. Obviously there is some ability to compensate at idle by the Lambda but if it was so far out you would have though that the adaption faults would be thrown. Some of the blocks in Group 000 are to do with adaption I think. Might be worth posting the whole 10 up with engine warm as if it supports that the ecu is adding fuel to keep it at 14.7 then we might me onto something.

Yes my thoughts are a poor connection/corroded wire between the MAF and ECU. Sound feasible?

Again, post the number on it so we can check. Just trying to be thorough in case we are overlooking something.
The Maf surely is the critical sensor for mixture.
Of course none of this explains the intermitant nature of the fault which is the most frustrating aspect. If we asume that the ecu only responds to signals in to calculate signals out, it does sound like it loses a signal somehow and yet its not sufficient to throw a fault code such a short or implausible signal.
