boost lag and fuel economy question

Checked DV and ir holds vacuum ok.

I moved timing belt as well.

Also, checked PCV system and clip on the small one way valve wad loose so I did that up, and put new clips on few more vacuum lines. Noticed temperature is now just over 90 (88 on 51st channel on climate control panel) and I done see full boost in 3rd (3rd@4200 ish rpm max boost before)

Did you find your vagcom lead yet?

Remember when you said floor it in 3rd@2000rpm and see when full boost is reached? And I said about 4200 rpm, now it won't go past 2.2/2.3.

I did find it, and no errors.

It gets weirder... You correct the timing and get less boost? Did you move the belt in the right direction? (sorry, clutching at straws..)

Tell me about it. At one point seems it's better and then it seems it's worse/same.

One I have is pretty much new, bought a Bosch unit.

I didn't no, as I need to get 17mm socket (forgot it in London)

Taking out the downpipe bolt didn't go that well (sheared it) even though I was careful. Car still runs like a piece of ****. Seems like it runs worse than with timing supposedly out.

I don't think exhaust is blocked because when it was blocked on my V6 at one point car slowed down as in its not able to get rid of all the exhaust fumes. Nothing like this with the S4.

Check, check and recheck I am just running down boost leaks after the car was mapped 3 months ago with no leaks, found 4 last week and am checking again on Saturday

Don't think it's a boost leak but I'll test it. All the sensors seem to be working, I will check TPS sensor.

BTW, couple of days ago I noticed car fails to pick up revs when I start it, if I rev it, it's all good.
