As I'd mentioned in another thread, it made very positive improvement on mine. Extra mpg, and earlier torque.

Try a new one, they are not 'that' dear in the overall scheme of maintaining these cars.

I fitted DV correctly and still seems to be too lazy, I will check if it holds vacuum tomorrow possibly. Also will try disconnecting N75.

Marks on cam sprocket and crank was lined up perfectly.

When you say crank do you mean the front pulley?

I can't see it there, nothing ever remotely similar to a line. I've turned the engine over several times :/

Its a 0 as Newsh picture. Are you looking in the correct hole?

Is the cam timing in the head correct? Two O on the inside of the cam gears should be level with the top of the head and point at each other.

MPG and performance sound way off, its no economy engine but should get 30 on cruise, drive ability about town is one of its perks.

Driving to Leeds and car occasionally shakes as if it's a misfire, but less intense. Sometimes it vibrates slightly and then runs as normal again. Fuel economy is around 25mpg. Any ideas what it could be?

Oil pressure/temp is good, engine temp is around 100 it that's because of ****** thermostat I think.

Quick guess would be one of the POSs has a flaky channel, if you are still running the OE ignition system.

Okay. Are those coil packs new new new or did you get them at a good price off eBay?

Then you might have to put the sparkplugs in the frame as the suspects.

I will take them out tomorrow and have a look at them. But it seemed like a misfire so might need to get a new set, NGK this time. No more Bosch.
