I think it cost about £250 for all new every thing.

Jamo, powerflex diff mount yes, gearbox? I didn't know they did them? Audi specialists are just fixing a problem, they no **** all about rubber grades/bearings. you drive away with a "fixed" problem. They only fit parts,Audi specialist not propshaft specialist.

The way I look at it is, I Know my business. And I would hope you all know yours. These feckers ,all they do is proshafts. Thats it they don't fix cars, service, nothing just shafts!!
He showed me the book of center bearings,,, it was thicker than a phone directory!! thousands of em, if any old thing as long as it fits will do surley they wouldn't be so many needed?
The proper bearing was the similar price to the Bm one. It was more hasstle to them to get the Audi bearing.
I am only trying to give you fellas a bit of info I got.
    take it or leave it..

Fair enough, thanks for the good info.

Do you have the part # and manufacturer for the bearing they used on your prop? Would be useful for anyone here wanting to service their own propshaft in the future.

      Cheers

Best would be to send them a mail or give them a ring.

Ask for Chris, he will help out with any request.

If the Audi one is available why buy a Bm one?

because it has the spinderly legs, not the thick quality Audi item.
Compare it to the broken oem one in the first post of this thred.

Ahem, Going to ask a silly question, Is there an easier way to get the propshaft off the car, Currently the car has no wheels or anything on other thant he subframes and gearbox. How do I get teh prop shaft off so I can remove the rest. The heatshield is off already just can't seem to get the thing detached from the gearbox or rear diff.

                  Cheers

Just can't get the bolts started, but there is no weight on the system i.e. wheels etc to make ground contact...., time for a bodge me thinks!!!! Unless anyone has any ideas???

If you are struggling to hold the shaft, try a oil filter strap wrench around it. Bolts aren't tight usually,,

Ah Azman do you mean because you have no wheels on the car theres nothing taking the load at either end of the prop so when you turn the bolts the prop also turns?

did anyone ever confirm if it was the front or rear ford scorpio cvs that fitted up to the propshaft? i search a few times and they were mentioned but to that question seems no response.
