Propshaft Overhaul

Just resurrecting the thread.. I need to find a u joint for my audi s2 aby 6spd propshaft.. im located in usa.. can anyone help me find one??

I measure the u joint and the caps diameter is 24mm... where can I get a new joint?? Mines was crimped into place...

Though mine was held by circlips.

If you are sure of your dimensions, you can search just by them on ebay and find stuff. e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HARD-CAP-...IAAOSwjv5eoCek

Got the right boot for the prop so thats a good start too!

I bought a new support bearing too. The Febi item I have on the prop is nowhere near as solid as the replacement.

I've just arranged to send my propshaft to Bailey Morris in St Neots to be chopped and balanced. Chards in Bristol have some poor reviews and the guy wasn't helpful on the phone.

Sorry to bring up a old thread. I know Lobro 301142 are the CV’s I need but is there a kit with the boots included available ? Rather than buy the GKN ones separately.

I looked, but bought separate in the end.

Propshaft cv joints, bearing and uj all ordered, shaft split down so its all now ready to go on but, noticed the boots are past their best and each have a small hole
I see the GKN 'aero cv boot' looks suitable as it has the correct dia, hole pcd and overall shape but... Says it is for a 22mm shaft. Measuring my prop shows it is 26mm. Q For those swapped their boots; will the gkn rubber stretch 4mm?
