@ Chris M: Thank you! Yes i had the same on my previous car also, and since i've always loved the dark-rim-dark-car-look.
Just my pleasure helping others get ideas

Car recived yesterday!
Now it's much more stable engine and all problems fixed with it!
i got one big problem though, the brakes!
Either there is air in the pipes or the 996tt rears are bad option as front stoppers.
I can't even lock them when driving in 100km when putting the foot down.
How is your experinece for you with 996tt fronts? can you lock them easily?
if someone got a pair of mint 996tt fronts then Im intressted so please pm me as i can not live with the rears upfront
I also need a big oil-catch tank if anyone knows about a good one (not dahlbacks as he wants 434£ for his).
Cheers guys,

But I do have to admit that to get the full braking power on tap, I need to warm the pads up...Midnight Blue S2 - SOLD - 1993 S2 Avant

But, i've driven it some to test how it really is:
It is very(!) hard on the pedal, almost like the servos not working. It also bites, but only if i apply 70-80% raw muscle power to the pedal.
I got to think about, maybe it is the bomb which is finished, but then, is there a bomb on my '93 aby?
Also the abs havent turned on..Anders - S2 Avant Clubsport - 8pots or die!

Hi AndersS2
Nice S2A you have. One thing about the brakes. I believe that 996tt rears are not excactly the same as 996 fronts. According to my understanding, 996tt rear pistons (diameter 28/30mm I guess) are smaller than 996 front pistons (diameter 38/44mm ??). If that is so, it might explain your braking problems with the new brakes. Unfortunately I cant verify those calipers piston size at the moment, but if I am wrong, I hope that someone will correct.

Many thanks,
yes the pistons in the rear calipper is smaller than the fronts, so i have done no more than to conclude thats the problem. No worries tho as the car is going inside the garage this winter for some more work, and the brakes will probobly be changed out for some even bigger ones.
UPDATE:
I've been a bad updater after getting the car back from tuning, and it was alot with the car that was not satisfactory. But now it works well and i want evenn MORE power. But first the car is going to be shined up much with new chassi parts (bushes, mounts, clutch), restored subframes, re-arranging the enginebay plumbing, new engine paint and finally fixing all the small details so it'll be not far from 100% nice.
As for the engine i will try to source a 2,5tdi crank and matching rods. I will use the stock block even if thats not the best option. I also want the Im from Olsonjus to get the factory oem reveresd look which is just engineporn!
The main goal is to have much power all through the rpm without loss of drivability and durability. I think i will land on about 450+ hp. (hopefully 500+ :mischeif: )
the current spec you can read all about earlier on this page.
I also is on a lookout for a 2nd Bosch "044" fuelpump pn: 0 580 254 044, for seriall use in enginebay. Also on a lookout for an adjustable fuelpressureregulator.
Cheers,
Anders
Here you have a pic of the enginebay at the current state(will be slightly diffrent when done):Attached FilesAnders - S2 Avant Clubsport - 8pots or die!

I dont think this is necessery Andie! Your avant is a killer as it is now.
(what im saying is that this is getting very expensive for me to keep up with)
Our little Smokie&The Bandit race a few days ago was exiting.Looks like im going to see your tail lights for a wild because i couldnt keep up with my RS2. Things in the rear mirror may appear closer then they really are:= soon....soon..heheAudi RS4+Long sportquattro

Well,
Not much going on here lately other than washing and polishing the car.
My dad and I finally got a huge abandoned shelterroom for rent so now the S2 finally can be turned down to molecyls and hopefully rise again to the summer '07.
Yes, it's true, the s2 will NOT se any snow this year, nomatter how much fun it is.
I am willing to spend much time and money this season to get everything completly done and durable. I want it all to look like audi built it, especially in the enginebay
Outside it will remain as now, but with diffrent exhaust tail and wheels/brakes.
Most important of all is that it will be ready for Nurburgring if there should be any S2 international meet there in 07?
@ Breitling: Our "smokie & the bandit" -run sure was fun. Though i hope the men in the flashing blue light -cars were'nt after us
Our little trip yesterday werent as bad aswell! your car sure did the trick with the 3" exhaust! Also i envy your xenon kit!
Anyways here is some pictures as usual;
Wax on wax off.. :
Small S/RS meet @ local diner (4x Rs2 in +- 200kmH is just ):
Cheers guys!
PS: oh, and hopefully a film is to come soon if the snow don't stay put!Anders - S2 Avant Clubsport - 8pots or die!

yeah i thought of it, but then i think it might be just too much.
I also fittet smoked hella siderepeters, but i think those even get to much.
I really want to obtain the OEM look, only without the wheels, lowering, xenon and exhaust.
I also cant decide if to swap out the rear plate panel to a b3 90 reflex one..Anders - S2 Avant Clubsport - 8pots or die!
