I've re-attached the door lock triggers so hoepfully shouldn't cause any problems, you can open them from both sides..... i hope thats enough....

The guy who tested my soon to be sold 20v was really sound guy, really interested in the car etc so thought i'd take the CQ back to him - always nice to find someone who appreciates these old cars, especially at MOT time.

Put on for the mot those door cards that I have to collect from you so you have a bit more chance.

For the record, you don't need door cards to pass an MOT



Went through fine, not even an advisory - matey who tested it let me have a good look around while it was up on the ramps, so have noted a completely broken gearbox mount that needs fixing and some other little bits and pieces to sort - going to fit new fuel lines as they are looking tired - nothing major.

Some treats turnbed up in the post today... heres two clues!!





Also visited my local body shop for a quote to repair my sill damage:



£250 to repair that, also to strip and re-do both sills (other side too) in nice new stonechip. I thought that sounded a good deal to me

So all together, a successful day!!

Yes it helps get the *** end of the car out in the wet going around corners when it slides across the boot and hits the other side the force kicks the back end out.

Just don't tell the missus where the diff sized dents in the quarters came from
