    • I was at Edition all weekend, saw your car Hamish and loved it. What a machine! The only thing that came close for me was the gray MK2 Golf from JTech - http://www.jtechautomotive.co.uk/top...ured-projects/

      • Candy red Audi A4 won on big wheels and air ride.

The JTech mk2 is a very nice bit of work! Chatted to them a lot over the weekend and at ultimate dubs earlier in the year they are top lads!

        • Thought it was about time I show off a few bits I have been buying up recently to go onto the car over the winter to sort the suspension and drivetrain.

First up is a new gearbox. Its from an S4 so O1E with wide first gear, flexible mainshaft and an oil cooler.

An S2 diff to go with it for the final drive. Thinking about getting some limited slip diffs to slot into the box and back diff.

A set of S2 hubs and shafts so I can get rid of the one piece ur quattro hubs and uprights, and get some proper suspension

A nice set of KW's to bolt to the uprights!

To fully sort the handling I picked up a front and rear bladed anti roll bar from an Escort WRC car.

A few more bits to buy up then the whole current drivetrain and suspension will be coming off and going up for sale if anybody is interested?

            • Ur quattro 5 speed box. Ur quattro rear diff. Ur quattro shafts. Ur quattro hubs and uprights with new wheel bearings. Uprights converted to coilovers with Koni adjustable dampers.

A lot of the bit were from Pete yes.

              • that rear diff looks like a cq diff with smaller inner driveshaft flanges than a s2
not sure but i would check the flange size before you do any work to it . the smaller inner cvs will be no good with your power

Can always swap in Torsen from a V8 and get the flanges that way..

                  • i destroyed my torsen with 610bhp so Hamish will smash his into a million bits with 700+bhp

                    • Cheers for that Will! I have measured it up and it is indeed a CQ quattro one. I shall be needing an S2 one for sure! V8 Torsen isn't going to hold the abuse from what I have seen. Gripper plated diff will be the way to go.

                          • I dont want to go messing around with the flanges it also means the shafts are wrong. Its getting sorted now, genuine mistake. Thuppu I have replied in your thread. It would be interesting to see what the difference is?

                            • Really love this car. Unbelievable amount of thought and technical know how has gone into this. Wish I could do something like this.
What happened to your Rallye? Is it still on the go? What was the spec of it?
