I've tied the POR15 black velvet manifold paint on my old 7A tubular and it just rusted through in about a year. Maybe I needed more than 2 coats.
The bottom end is now back in and mostly connected up, I was going to get the head on today but I wanted to get the brakes and clutch bled before because there is better access to the clutch, and I'd run out of brake fluid
Now getting depressed looking at the state of the subframes! It's like the Forth road bridge this car

Well it's finally finished, had a few issues with the water pump which I'll write a separate thread about, but it's now been run up to temp a couple of times, head studs re-torqued and oil changed.
It needs MOT'ing which I'll get done on Saturday, but I took it out for a sneaky run around this afternoon and it feels great
Anybody else fitted RS2 washer jets??
Mine seem to weep, if I drop the bumper to the floor so the jets are below the bottle, water just pours out of them, am I missing a valve or something??

Next part of the project is to re-do the breather system. It works perfectly as it is now, but since moving the battery to the rear, I have nowhere to mount the seperator, it's just floating a the moment held in place by the hoses.
I'm planning to make my own seperator and catch tank out of aluminum, and use fancy Goodridge type fittings, but I'll start a new thread about that in the fabrication section when it's complete.

Just over 300miles complete now and it hasn't missed a beat. Did another oil change and final torqueing of the head studs yesterday and just spent all afternoon hooning around the Peak District putting miles on her.
