Not really much to update on this, the timing pin is fixed, ended up pulling the gearbox More info here

I'm going to leave it in it's current spec for a while and just enjoy driving it rather than working on it, although the headlining it knackered and kept droping down and blocking the rear view so I pulled that out



I've ordered some samples of black fake alcantara off Ebay, then I'll either paint or wrap the plastic trim panels to match.

Also fitted a glass sunroof whilst the headlining was out

If you got the same stuff I bought off ebay they are really good. Make sure you get proper glue, spray or brushed that is heat resistant.

First couple of panels re-trimmed in faux alcantara and grab handles painted satin black
