Took some footage of the diag outputs on another run we did tonight, will post tomorrow
Haynes Manual:As described in Chapter 7...
Translation:That'll teach you not to read through before you start, now you are looking at scarey photos of the inside of a gearbox.Comment

The car is all running well and down with me now, already with 350 miles on the clock and on it's 3rd set of oil and filter (sorry to all those on the M6, M42 and M40 last night, who must have though i was a complete **** for continually accelerating and backing-off. Luckily though, as per expected. despite there being heavy traffic, lane 1 was almost completely clear despite lane 2 and 3 being back-to-back traffic
)
Only a couple of niggles to iron out, such as it stalling when you cut-off the throttle quickly, which i think could be the damper on the throttle body, which doesn't seem to stop the throttle cam from slamming shut, and the temperature sensor which seemed to think it was -38c this morning, before rising to 8c, and then showing 27F... no idea what's going on there!
But... my god this thing is nice
VERY very smooth, very refined, and you can feel that running it at 4krpm with .4bar boost is just tickling it, and it really wants to go. It's quite funny, but even limited to .4bar and not going over 4krpm with 3/4 throttle, the car still out-performs most standard 2 litre TDI's, and feels like a stock s2
The exhaust system is perfect. It doesn't boom at motorway speeds, and cruising at 80mph it is almost silent, just a little bit of a rumble, but plenty of presence when you give it some beans
The suspension (stock springs, koni's) is spot-on, all of that horrible crashing gone, and i tested it over some of the roads i used to avoid and it's now perfectly comfy. Just goes to show those H&R's were the culprit, with them just simply being too short for the weight of the car. The car also doesn't dive too badly on the stock springs when you brake, so all-in-all a very worth while change.
The Zeitronix kit is awesome. I've got it wired in completely independently of anything else, with it having egt, wb o2, and boost pressure directly from the inlet manifold. I'm seeing 6.5psi (wgfv disconnected for now), Lambda almost always 1.00, AFR 14.7 on idle and moving between 11.0 and 21.0 depending on whether you're giving it some power or have just backed off. EGT's are sitting around 1100F at 80mph, and the max i've seen is 1280F when i've given it some power.
I just need to get rpm, tps and a few other inputs now as well. Also i've NOT got the zeitronix emulating nb o2 for the ecu, that's wired in with a seperate nb probe, as per stock.
The top of the inlet manifold was still touching the bonnet under acceleration, you could see the mark on the inlet manifold, so we've winded out the bonnet rests as far as possible, and everything seems ok after the run home last night. Hopefully this sorts the problem.
The clutch was expectedly like an on/off switch, very aggressive, hard to push the pedal, and near impossible to balance the clutch (i stalled it a few times, and not just because of the isv/throttle damper issue). However after the run down last night it seems to be smoother already, and i expect this to only get better. Sitting in traffic on the way to work this morning wasn't fun though with the clutch and stalling issue
Very impressed, and i'll start to take the rpm and boost up a little now. Hopefully the clutch will continually get smoother also, and i'll be getting a new temp sensor and throttle damper unless anybody else has any ideas on either?

Pressure test it, you should not be getting 11.0 at WOT
I am glad everything is fine though.Comment

About 1.8 bar IIRC with it reconnected.
It dips a bit too low though for that amount of boost, should be leaner. That's why I think maybe a boost leak somewhere?Comment
