You dont happen to know what belt you used for the PS pump do you? How much clearance from banjo bolt to IM with the belt tensioned? (actually mine is a 3B so may not be the same.. )

I'm pretty certain this is it written on the pulley in red, as we needed a shorter one, and figured we needed to remember which one we used

I'll be up in Windermere next weekend to pick the car up, but it still needs to be run-in and remapped before it reaches its full potential.

But, i'll be sure to be back up in the lakes with it, so will keep in touch - if you still want a passenger ride after stu's comments

That was the highlight of the trip... when he uttered the immortal line "I'm a biker, trust me.... you cannot scare me", i took it as a challenge

Will be picking it up next weekend, doing the initial 100 miles, and then driving it 250 miles home.. so all going well by monday when im back at home it will already have 350 miles on the clock, and a few trips into work and back should see the clutch and engine bedded in at 500 miles.

Mapping should be a week or 2 after, depending on availability.

Seeing as i'll be picking up the car this weekend (), what are peoples recommendations regarding run-in of the engine?

I've been thinking:

• Fill the car with mineral oil, run up to temperature, then change the oil and filter.
• Limit to WG boost, fill with mineral oil, run the car up to ~100 miles, trying to remain off-boost, then change the oil and filter.
• Fill with normal synthetic oil, and slowly increase the boost and rpm, up until ~500 miles when the engine and clutch should be fully bedded in.
• Drop the oil and filter, fill with usual synth oil, get mapped, and enjoy
