Yes, the engine does look rather impressive, doesn't it

It will end up having some professional body work done it i expect, it was under about half an inch of dust last time i looked!

All going well the engine will be going back in this week, along with the new downpipe, 3" exhaust system, and catch-tank system.

I have arranged to collect the car on 12th Nov, so just a couple of weeks away, and allowing me a few days to run the car in before mapping

... this should be an exciting next couple of weeks as the project draws into the final stages

Currently a 2.75" milltek turbo-back, but its being equipped with a hoffer 3" downpipe and straight 3" de-catted pipe into the milltek silencer and back-box.

the boy's right..... as the laws are getting stricter on MOTer's, its worth getting a bypass pipe fitted to allow for a sport cat for that time of year....thats what I will have to do come next MOT....it will be done at the same time as the engine is dropped in....

this is another myth it would be nice to break down and experiment with.

i have been told by at least 2 separate exhaust places that using 2 cats of 200cpi is firstly better than 1 cat of 100cpi, BUT also that using 2 cats is not going to make a big difference in perfomance when it comes to power and backpressure. Yet i still see people are getting rid of them and going catless aiming for that extra 10-15hp.

It would be nice to be able to do a test pre and post cats and see what all the hassle is about!

Andy, you are full of excuses!!! get your bro, tune your car and lets go!!!

I think he's suggested that rather than removing my current cat, i should be adding another one?
