You'll hear me lifting quite early and braking/cornering without to much aggression, but even then i reckon this is a sub-9 lap, just... i guess i'm getting soft in my old age!

It went to the ring and it seems that it's in one piece.

That only means hardware is solid and software too

One thing i have noticed is that is occasionally misfires on idle. It had me worried the night before setting off because it was running on 4-cylinders on idle, but the problem seemed to go away and it performed well all weekend.

Only other slight "problem" i had was giving it WOT to redline in 1st gear you'd feel it surge, then at WOT in 2nd gear it would only produce 1 bar. When i backed off and came on the power again in 2nd it was fine. It did this a couple of times, and only seemed to happen if i went WOT in 1st, then 2nd.

Other than that it was holding boost correctly at all revs in all gears.. so not a boost leak like it felt like a hose had popped off!

wb o2, egt, boost pressure, rpm and tps which will be useful.

i had similar issue with my k26/27 in the past....only if i went first gear WOT to something like 7000rpm,the second and surprise...boosting like 1bar...whem it should 1.85...

few times happened,as i usually did not go WOT in first gear to rev limit..

i always was thinki ng that the problem was my faulty wastegate...

Maybe when YOU see 7000 inside it already is on the limiter (or exceeding safe limit set in the map). It thinks that something is wrong reducing boost. Then sees that it is OK and boosting again.

Don't make assumptions, let's see what the codes show.
If there are no codes, it's a mechanical problem, simple.
