        • 1.8 coilpack conversion done after one of the coilpacks gave up the other week

There is a slight problem when shifting gears at high RPM, the car only boosts to 1 bar for a couple of seconds before it shoots back up to 2.2-2.3 bar like it should be doing.

Suspected DV sticking issue and i'll be getting it looked at with Will in a couple of weeks... that and i NEED to get some logs from the car now i have Zeitronix setup properly

          • You might want to switch the orientation of the DV - if the high pressure acts axially on the piston rather than radially, then the only pressure closing the DV is the spring, whereas, in the other orientation, the spring is backed up by the boost pressure, so it's much faster to react. Post a pic up or check it out

            • Andy, I need to send you an updated chip for the 1.8T packs...
Or maybe you can pop by end of October or so?

              • We didn't think changing the coils would make any difference?

Are you over end of October? I'm about then so can meet up.

It won't make any difference for running. But it will affect coil life if the dwell time is not changed. As well as below -20C start, but you would never have any of that.

I am thinking of coming end of October. Pretty tentative right now.

                    • Would be abit strange if the DV was at fault if it's the one I sent you as it was new, although stranger things have happened.
