I think if it was knocking excessively, it would probably have damaged more than just a plug at this boost level. It's running over 2 bar boost.

Fit BKR8EIX. Most likely that will allow for 10-20 hp of power as well.
F5DPOR is not a good plug for this much boost.

When does the ECU run closed loop? I understand a miss = unburnt Oxygen, which would confuse the ECU & overfueo to compensate / restore Lambda=1, which in turn could cause some funny fuelling and AFR readings. But that shouldn't make a difference at WOT right?

As for the plugs I've never had issues and run with the Bosch ones too, are you saying that the higher boost level (2.1bar) is better suited to these other plugs? Could be an interesting experiment, I'm up for it, especially if theres 10-20hp at stake!

I would not use F5DP0R at all. PFR7B for lower PCP, BKR8EIX for higher PCP.

I've never modified the gap from standard, and I have not had any issues.

Look at this pic you´d posted:



I wonder if there are two different samco hoses?
One special for RS2 airbox and another for the S2 ABY one.
My Problem:
I took a RS2 airbox in my ABY coupe with a samco hose (from the hose kit i bought Long ago in this Forum for my ABY) from maf to K24/7000 Turbo.

But it doesn´t fit. Need a half inch more to the maf.
How can it be?

That makes sense - the rs2 air box with aby samco hose pictured required a 1/2" extender to fit correctly which you can't see in the pic.

The chap doing the install custom made it to fit when it became clear the hose wasn't long enough but I didn't notice until I did the RS4 MAF conversion with a different custom Roose hose.
