The catch-tank runs from a new head-breather at the back of the cam cover and from the block union to a swirl-pot, which has a sump-return hose and a hose to the catch-tank. The catch-tank then has a hose back to the MAF hose.
The PCV (if i understand the part correctly) still runs as-stock between the hose to the throttle body and the inlet manifold.

The block union is where the pcv would be, so is the swirl port taking the feed directly of the union of off the pcv valve?
Your PCV valve is probably shot.
The one that is a one way valve at the manifold... replace it.
Your intake MUST hold pressure.
Would this make any difference to the IM holding pressure though, as it's a contained system, running from the throttle-body hose to the IM, so it doesn't matter if it was open or close as long as its not leaking?
Ditch the OE stuff and make it as simple as possible to avoid cockups
Fit the N80 directly to the IM with some 8mm pipe.
Remove the PCV and 1 way valve.
Blank the OE head breather, as you now have the larger one.
Run some 19mm hose round to the low pressure inlet hose.
The breather hose you describe should flow to the low pressure side and not the high pressure side by the TB. It has a 1 way valve to the IM that stops the breather system being subjected to pressure - if this is faulty or not correctly fitted then it will leak.
Break the circuit down to its most basic elements and make sure that it's not connected to anything other than the breathers and you'll be able to eliminate it. It should not pressurise, so this is worth persuing.

Take a load of pictures of everything and we'll see what we can see That's best.
Bo had an issue with a pressurising breather when he fitted a catch tank years ago - I think that was 1 way valve related; either it was faulty or not connected up properly.
