I am hoping not as there is definitely something moving up and down, if not diff is coming out anyway, just haven't looked into what shims I will need, I understand it is DIY able with some time and a dial gauge (plus the correct shims), will also get a price from a machine shop to build it. Did you get your rear torsen sorted?

Tiger seal is a polyurethane adhesive sealant, hoping it will prolong the life of the mounts, only cost about £6 so not an issue if it doesn't work.

I filled the void pockets, why would you expect not to be able to get them off the car?

Or did you mean get the stuff out the mounts themselves?

Fitted a new rear caliper as the handbrake mechanism had seized, now have a working handbrake, or as well as these audi ones work

A box key in a socket makes adjusting the nut on the handbrake yoke nice and easy.

Also received my engine mounts, hopefully get them done after work tomorrow.

Changed the drivers side engine mount today, bit fiddly getting the nut under the turbo undone, piece of piss once I got a flexi head ratchet.

Much better now, no metal clunks, however still shunt, will need to re shim a rear diff and hopefully that will be sorted.

I've also got some play in my gearbox bearings which causes a bit of shunt too. If its worse in lower gears that could also be a culprit.

lso got an issues with the dash/aux/blower controls illumination, everything has died simultaneously, clock/computer still work, centre switched still illuminate but no dash lights. I have changed clocks, and the relay behind the aux gauges, any other potential faults.

i had this prob on a coupe - it was the dimmer/brightness control at fault ?

I will have a look at the dimmer control, I thought it was unlikely to have died in both sets of clocks, I will probably take out the clocks again and try and see how far power is going and work it out from there. I don't need the dimmer to work, just the lights to come on, even if it is all the time the ignition is on, will get there in the end, electronics just tends to annoy me until I sit down and work it out.

Not updated this in a little while.

Fixed a loose connection and then a new fuse sorted the dash lights, just got heater control bulbs to change now.

Pulled the rear diff from Steve's parts car and fitted that, has taken some of the drive train slop out, I guess the rest is in the gearbox as suggested earlier, or just the "new" diff has less, just need to decide what gearbox to stick in when I do the clutch, stock 3b, 90q20v, cq20v or an 01E? Can get the spare diff torn down now and the pop the torsen in.

Trying a set of 225 Khumo KU31 instead of my usual Michelin Pilots, will see how they get on.

Refitted the interior again, much quieter, leather seats back in temporarily until I make up rails for the recaros.

Then seats back out to remove the carpet as the drivers door seal is leaking

Went to give a mate a hand with photos of his car and got a couple of mine as well. Just got low res facebook pictures just now.
