    • Well Eric, you certainlay have brought that motor back from the depths of despair, I think like a few of us on here would have given up at the first or second hurdle, but you just kept right on there even though as you said it took such a time to get round to it. Just looking at the latest pics of the 5 pot and looks like she has a new heart completely reborn, and when the soul is all done and dusted this will be one beast you will never part with. Well done indeed, she looks great now and will look fantastic when fully done.

      • Thanks
It was very bad, probably the worst I have seen too, but there were a lot of things done that I would have to be done on most avants of this age no matter what their apparent condition.
And you are right, I will never sell it.

034 105 251M damper wants the 054105255E pulley and the 034105193 washer, which is what I presume that you have (just confirming - all good).

Had to refer to etka in the end.
Dou you have tramlining with this steering bracket? It looks like holes are oval.

                      • I wish I was at that stage where I could tell you. The car still hasn't come back from paint.

                          • Maybe it's already been mentioned before in your project thread, the tie rods should be mounted inside the steering bracket not outside as per the above pic.
