Dash has probably droppped. If you loosen the two little bolts behind the covers in the door jamb you should be able to push the dash up and retighten the bolts with it in the right position

at least that's not the case on LHD models, only dual airbag models seem to line up correctly.

Just tried this on mine, looened the bolts and got my knee under the dash and retightened, much better but not perfect.

Just a quick update,

Fitted a new 710n recirc valve as old one failed earlier in the week.

Anyone know of a good paint silver paint that looks factory so that I can paint the IM and rocker cover, does it need to be high temp paint?

Why not bead blast and laquer, or polish?

To further the hijack: I seem to remember there are screws on the tops of the doors to adjust the height of the door cards.

I not 100% sure so dont shoot me down but im sure he means that instead of the door card and the dash edges lining up height wise i think he means that the dash sits further forward.

There are two large nylon bolts at each end of the window regulator for adjustment of the door card.

I think you can get matt lacquers now so would look good bead blasted.

liking the way this car is working out, very tidy motor.

out for a drive tonight and managed to pop a water pipe. It looks like its one of the pipes that comes off the water rail and goes towards the front of the bay but its to dark now to do any proper investigation so it will have to wait until after work tomorrow. Ill update more when I find out the problematic hose!

Probably the short piece going to the steel pipe that sends the water round the front of the motor to the turbo.

Yeah sounds like it. Right PITA to get your hands down there to fit a new one too!
Its always baffled me why they didn't just make a solid hardline all the way to the banjo.
