Anybody confirm that this fits with the petrol aluminium sump? My AAT had one of these fitted and I wasn't sure what it did so I left it off, might try fitting it this time. It appears to be a hollow tube that simply move the pickup point from the end of the engine to towardes the middle. Not sure why the Tdi's have it and not the petrols??
Here's the thread I started on this part last time
Don't know of the sump, but petrol block doesn't have the mounting holes for it.

Think the diesels have it for some reasons.
Cylinder pressure is higher so higher blow by flow.
Diesels don't have crank case ventilation setup in/on the block like the petrols have.
Diesel engines get 'runaways' on engine oil while petrol engines will not have those issues.
Custom work I now did for a friend. Hope it's good..?

Apparently all this does is move the pick up point for crankcase gases from the rear of the engine to the front. This is to prevent the breather system dragging oil up under hard acceleration, and it does not fit with the 3B/ABY sump. JP tried it when building his stroker.

That would be interesting, have to see if I do it...
11th day next month we have a track day with our finnish bimmer club, hope to get there. Some small things to do before it. Have to adjust the wheel angles, fronts seems to have too much toe-out. Combined with my camber testing wasn't good on street. Blown a front wheel. Nice when you havn't a spare wheel in the car. Have to find a pair of 235/40R18 wheels...
Recieved also a coilover build kit for the front struts, so officially my coilover build has started. Bambridge from the forum sourced these lovely bits.
Would be nice to get Dmitri here soon to complete the mapping, but he is a busy man, so can't say anything yet. Don't wan't to throw in the custom HX40 before he is comming here. Havn't a clue how it's gona work, if it's laggy or not, but then we see. Hopefully quite soon.
