If the motor isn't knocking on both types of fuel(same ign. map), why then is it more powerful with ethanol?..isn't ethanol less "energic" than petrol?
..or is it that there simply more boost added to the ethanol tune?
I don't know why, one thing can be that ethanol cools down the combustion. According to kenax there is a ~5% gain when switching from E98 to RE85 without touching the ignition and boost. Of course you have to tune the fuel map to suit the 85, something like +30%.

Because ethanol contains oxygen.
Also ethanol cools down the air when evaporating.
Thus there is much higher cylinder charge with ethanol at the same boost level.
Really can't tell of the color how the filling is, about 700km driven with the new IM...

Filled up the tank from an other station and now propably got some "winter" mix e85, engine started to run pig rich on wot, lambda droped from 0,79 to 0,73. Well, decided to change the turbo now and see if it compensates the AFR... Lamba rised to 0,77 with it. Seems to flow some more, and spool starts about 300rpm higher up.

Alex, the turbo outside measures are exactly the same as before, only internals are a bit bigger. This is a ~750hp turbo. Nice to see how stock pistons holds up. They should hold though.
Wrath, earplugs are nice when you have to drive a lot on highway. This isn't exactly a silent car... ask Dmitri. You also never know when these hit fire, burning hot turbo and a leaking oil- or fuel line and you have a rolling torch. The insurance do not cover everything you have put and done on the car, even that the car itself has almost zero value.

Thomas, I know just thought it was a good looking image But you can always get a special Insurance that will cover the car“s expense but then that would be so high you get nightmares Have a fire extinguisher as well but no earplugs
