I'm sure I have seen some info on calibrating the fuel gauge. Think you need a resistor of a certain value to put across 2pins of the sender loom connection, you then turn something on the instrument cluster to set it to a certain position. -
Just wondering if something got snagged in the tank when you changed the fuel pump, Was the fuel gauge always wrong? Or did you never fill it up before (not that I'd blame you it must be getting oin for 100 quids worth of juice.)Leave a comment:

Running all fine now, better than ever in fact. Filled the tank up, but gauge won't show it as full.
I am paranoid now, all the time driving and thinking 'what was that noise' 'did that sound ok'?Leave a comment:

I was thinking this morning, if it has spark then the only thing left is fuel delivery....Leave a comment:

Wait for the next problem.....
You sure it is dead? As I said above, it seems to take while to get all the air out the system, even when running.Leave a comment:

Take it out for a spin to make sure there are no other issues waiting to jump out at you.

Now you mention it could be potentially like a mouse trying to cross a garden with the wicked cat keeping a look out just waiting to pounce!
