It was so high because of the Light crankshaft+yust 10 kg flywheel with clutch and secondary the sharp cams.

i think he said, that rpm is so high because of his aggressive cams..

Interesting thing, my first Setup wos with a lighter crankshaft ~18kg and Light Front pulley instead of vibration damper and i dont get idle under ~1600rmp.
By my new oem tdi crankshaft and littlebit lighter vibration damper get it down to ~ 1200rmp.
What a littlebit weight (3-4kg) can make.

    Tomorrow i go at a dyno [emoji1]

No the have the same gears. Is Use a Diesel one.

Also 2.8l v6 Petrol engine have the same sice of gears in diameter, but they are smaller. Yust 9 mm thick ( s2 have 11mm).

    Make everything i can do.

Next step are bigger Gears in the oem oilpump and install the Golf shifter.
But first put it on a dyno and look how the hole setup works on the street. And see if the last 2 Years of work was the right way.

Looks like a well thought out engine to me, hopefully it lasts this time

And additional cooling for Front and back from head. Let a separate pump run above 85°.

Brand new oil pump from Audi. Oil pressure is over 4 bar when about 2k rpm. It's just the Tdi squirters flow lots at idle and cause lower oil pressure. I have no problems with that. Rule of thumb is 10 psi per 1k rpm on lots of engines.

How old is your oil pump?
By the older Pumps the spring from the pressure relief valve get shorter and you have less pressure.
My idle is ~1600rmp, engine dont Run less than this. So i dont now the pressure at low rmp [emoji23]
