    Today's progress

Well, thanks for your interest and positive comments on the build. Today i found a new place for my oil cooler. Got new hydraulic hoses pressed and fitted the oil cooler in the new place. Also connected the Tial Q10 to the IM and changed Fpr to a 3bar. Tomorrow i think i will put the 044 in the tank.

    Pics of the oilcooler

              Bumper

Thought i should share some pics with front bumper fitted.

Things left to do on the car before i fire it up is:
              Mount airfilter
              Change fuel pump to 044
              Drain brakes
              Crank up oil pressure

              FIRE UP!

The hoses are ptfe ss-braided, like these: http://www.hydraquip.co.uk/ptfe-hose-assemblies/

The hydraulic couplings is black galvanized before fitted and pressed. This is not like AN-couplings. This is real hydrualic fittings and hoses.

For the engine parts. Is it heat resistant paint or plain 2k paint from a can.?

It's an Audi color called L7ZJ "Felgenkappengrau" with matt clearcoat 2K paint.
Used on some Audi rims and rear view mirrors.

Thanks! I was looking for a "neutral" color. The heat is not a problem, still looks fine.

                              Startup!

Today i cranked up oil pressure and tried to start. All went wery well, fired up straight away! No leaks, ran very nice. Now i feel happy!

A short video, the sound is crazy on the video, but it is something

                              God night!

                                Not surprised.

Maybe paint the rims silver or a dark grey ?

If someone rear ends you, I'll buy your front end.

Looking forward to a street video of the car driving about in due course.

                                Thread bookmarked and saved also.
