    Looks better at normal ride height IMO. But if you do lower it, also space it. I did it to mine after I went back to 16" wheels and it transformed the look (I think mine has already had a 10-15mm drop).

    Unfortunately it is just photoshop, so I will most likely find myself at the same spot where you are now. I might buy a set of OEM springs, and get them compressed by a company in Sheffield.

    Then at least I will be 100% sure what ride height I'm getting and still will have original springs if I don't like it

    Because I'm bored and it's not yet bedtime I "lowered" my car, and I think I should lower it really. I think if I don't, it will bother me all the time I can always go back to stock

    Yeah, I have M12 to M10 and then M10 to M8. Works perfectly.

    Have you checked out Time-Serts? If you have enough metal then this is what I would use. You definitely want to use standard studs.

    Money is very tight so every little counts. And I have no use for 5 that are left over. I will probably just use 2 inserts as I have enough metal left to tap it and I have them already so won't have to spend any more money.

    They just got back to me and minimum order is 6, which works out over 30 quid, so that's a no go.

    I have 2 options now, make a M8 to M12 stud and use that, or just use 2 thread inserts so I can use standard studs in the future?

    I think I will go for the one AndyP suggested;

    Seems like the best option. In the future I can use standard studs rather than making M12-to-M8 stud

    BTW, looking at the inserts there are 2 types, one is with internal thread locking, do I need it, or go for normal one?
