F60 Idle Switch and N71 Idle Stabilization Valve info
Well, to be pedantically technical
, it's not the G69 throttle potentiometer per se. It is the F60 idle switch that the ECU reacts to and starts controlling the N71 ISV.

Don't use carb cleaner, wash it out with GT85 or WD40.
Carb cleaner is way too aggressive.
Also check the throttle pot switch is actually closing, it needs to for the ISV to work.Leave a comment:

I have never had any success whatsoever in cleaning them out, Janis.
You're supposed to blast it out with carb cleaner then drop some silicone oil in there and that's it. Don't bother buying a second hand one - they are bound to be as knackered as the one you've already got. New ones are expensive so make sure you rule anything else out.
Any other suggestions from you lot out there?

I've noticed sometimes when I start the car it doesn't pick up revs. It sort of sits between 200-400rpm and once I rev it slightly it sits at normal rpm? Any suggestions?Leave a comment:

It's genuinely perfect.
Perfect fit Craig! Not even one had to be adjusted. Only thing I can say is test before fitting everything back, because some I put in the wrong way round
I removed stereo fascia and surround, then pulled it from top and it came off fairly easily.
