And the o-ring on the turbo - I'm assuming you have the groove for it?

Cheeky fecker - it runs as much as yours does - It has been running, I just keep taking bits off and on all the time. I can't drive it fast though until it is remapped - and that isn't going to be until the middle of December - along with a few other cars that will be faster than yours :nana: :nana: (for now)

              Mihnea,

I was running the car today - first time with the new injectors. I had vag-com plugged in. There were no fault codes to start with. I started logging. THe lambda was sitting at 1.00 but then gradually dropped down to 0.75 - I checked the fault codes and had an "out of range" fault code - I thought I saved the code in vag-com but can't find it now. Reset and all was fine - I think!

The injectors duty cycle (at idle) are sitting at 1.04 ms. When I had the RS2 injectors in they were at 2.21 at idle.

              Doug

Hi Doug, well this is good news, normally I'd have sworn the EcU would have thrown out a "mixture adaptation-exceeded" type of fault code

The injector opening time is very low indeed, just logged that on an RS2 I've tuned today and it was between 1.88 and 1.92ms at idle...

More to come in my next email, to you and Greg!

                Cheers,

                Mihnea

Heat shield for air filter - it's made of the double skin heat shield stuff - soon see how good it is.

Anyone know where to get boot seal - the rubber strip that will fit over the edge of metal and has a rubber tube that will flatten when the bonnet is closed?

Cheers Habib - I've moved the aux radiator about 1" to the right (looking from the front). That and the oil ducting air scoop should keep the air cool enough when moving - when it's sitting stationary, it might start to heat up. I'm tying to work out how to fit a fan and ducting to get cool air in when sationary or it's getting too hot. The intercooler mister will help, but that's just masking the problem.

                        More soon.

Doug very nice, I like the WGFV mounting.

There used to be a place that advertised boot and door seals in Car and Car Conversions, not sure if they still do, maybe better to have a look in a kit car magazine.

                          Mark.

I did have braided hose on the WGFV but they ended up being too stiff and I broke a WGFV - doh!

On a side note, I used to go to school with the lad who's dad owns Ultima sports. The factory is round the corner from where I live.

And they make Nobles in the village down ther road where my girlfriend used to live.
