          • Little work done.
Lowered cr with compression dropping gasket to 8.3

Fitted arp head studs and 7a exhaust cam
Also taped EM. For cooler enginebay.

            And quick DIY
Very easy to make pressure test. 5 min.
Metal thing is ventilation cap or something.

                New exhaust is definately lighter.
All stuff that I removed under the car,was quite heavy too. Most of the weight loss was there.
At the beginning I planned to weigh all that, but I have tiny garage so no space for old crap.
Also removed the subwoofer and etc.
Even old spare wheel place was heavier than new aluminium plate...
                Hmm what more.. don't remember.
Easy 5-15kg can be removed if rear bumper holder was made to aluminium I am not planning to pull a trailer
And something more and weight nr begins with 15xx

Weight loss was not planned at first, but after removing all the crap under the car, I had a sporty interest to see how much it weighs after
And the woofer was also removed because I wanted to get access to the fuel tank.
All original parts are still attached to the car.

                    • After removing stuff from bottom of the car, did you put any addition sound deadening anywhere? I suspect coating acts as corrosion protection and sound insulation?

Yes, there is nothing else but those

Those should protect from corrosion and lower the sound.
Will see after several years if it works or not
Are you planning to do same with your car? If so, then I wish you strong nerves

                        • Don't have space to do that, but I'd love to do a proper restoration. In the future hopefully.

                            Good luck
My garage is 4x6m. Lift the car and under the car is plenty of room
                            Just lay down and relax

                            • That's my dream. Where I live I am lucky to park in front of my house. When we lived in Latvia we had massive drive and garage as well.

                              • After changing the bushings, there was a very strong vibration coming on back of the car.
Took wheels off and they seemed to be curved. Bought new ones. Still vibrated.
Double check every thing, still nothing, until I found cardan cross moving about 2-3mm. After that I remembered that old diff bushes were super crappy when I removed them. So probably cardan vibrated before too, but i didn't feel it..
A little searching and some smarter persons seemed to know that Ford Scorpio inner constant velocity joint is the same as urs6 cardan top and end. So I changed both ones and vibration was gone. No cardan cross moving anymore.
Maybe this info is useful to someone.
