          OK, it's only taken 6 years but I finally have a solution for this! I'd seen a few people mention spmebody in Germany who could fit a replacement screen so I got in touch with him and sent over a display for repair. It's taken a while to get it back, which I understand is not the norm, but I've fitted it today and it works perfectly
