    Rear ARB only

    Thanks for the replies,

I'll just try the rear ARB first and see.

    Regards,

Do we have satisfied coupe drivers with the rear Whiteline ARB mod without doing the front RS2 ARB mod?

I'm certainly going do do the rear first then see.

I found the back end a bit too lively with Whiteline rear ARB on it's own

The Coupe is much more lively now with the Whiteline RARB on the middle setting and the RS2 FARB.
I had to do a little a bit of corrective oversteer to make last weekend on a roundabout, which was quite surprising for this car! Nice little application of opposite lock and we were away.

It's not "tail happy", but it's more "pointy" and certainly a quicker turn in. Much flatter too. More FUN

So you would not recommend RARB only?
RS2 FARB and Whiteline RARB in middle setting gave you a neutral car, correct?

          Thanks for the update
I think I will have to get the Front RS2 ARB then

I would guess that just doing the RARB only would alter the balance of the car quite radically.

My experience of the Coupe now is that the RS2 front and Whiteline RARB on middle setting (and with H&Rs/ Konis and 17" 225 rubber) has made the car significantly less understeery, and you can now get oversteer, which is a bit surprising. I wouldn't say "neutral".

I may yet try the Whiteline bar on its softest setting.

No you can quite happily run with only the rear ARB update.

Ask MartinJS for an opinion as he ran on this setup for a while and was happy with the handling.

Ok, I will try Whiteline at is softest setting and work through it.

Getting the Whiteline will be the slowest part of the deal with regard to shipping it from Australia (unless you pay for an express courier like I did).
It's an easy job to fit - if you're on a ramp it's apparently a 5-minute job (those guys at the 05 Garage meet will know what I mean)

I guess try the Whiteline first and if you decide you want to change the front, change the front later, it's no big deal to fit that one either - that definitely is a 5-minute job on a ramp!

I have the whiteline at home.

Remember I told you you could get it from Australia faster than from retailers here

I guess the best thing is test the Bilstein with stock setup and work from there. As it will still understeer badly I will fit RARB in softest and test, right until I have the car how I like it. In the end I will end up with FARB from RS2 and rear in the stiffest setting but is better to do it step by step I think

                        Thank you,

Greg, I sent you an email on this, but thought I'd post it here as well. Did you ever get the whitline ARB? I was thinking of making some changes to my suspension including external adjustable shocks on rear and bigger RARB....but maybe adjustable one is best. I think we basically have the same suspension so i'd be interested in what you did.

I did just have the rear whiteline bar at first, for a good few months actually. Put it straight on the stiffest setting lol
I really liked it as i prefer oversteer to understeer.
Since fitting the front RS2 bar the front is as dan says more pointy and the back end doesnt break away as easily and ive had the odd bit of understeer if really pushed hard.
I personally wouldnt like the rear set any softer. To be honest i think i'd like it set a bit stiffer still.

Just got hit with import duty AND VAT on the Whiteline today - added another £53 to the price of the bar.
If you want this bar and don't mind the wait, I'd get it through Demon Tweaks if I were you - despatching it directly from Aus has ended up costing me just shy of £200...

You've a gyspy curse on you and your car mate, try p*ssing on all 4 wheels to remove it!!

I wish Whiteline would find a decent U.K importer i got quoted 4 months to import one, which is just plain silly.
