I think the issue with the shocks and wishbones was due to the fact that the pallet was too wide and therefore not allowing the wishbone to drop as I raised the subframe. I removed the shocks and will put them back tomorrow. Hopefully everything will line up nicely then.

Is there a difference between the S2 Avant and RS2 hardline brake pipe from the splitter to the front section? I got this section from Cardcrash's RS2 but it seems too long. Is there some strange route it's meant to take around the heat shield? I can always shorten it I suppose

as i remember the line went to the side of the chasis from the subframe and not directly to conector

Which side do the washers go on the upper wishbones?
There is only one per bush.

Progress report

Made a start on the rear hubs/shocks




The AK rear set comes with no instructions, so it was a case of trial and error! Luckily, all the bushes only seem to fit in there retrospective holes.

I have sent an email to Albert because I’m not sure about the washer location on the top wishbone inner bushes. There is also quite a bit of lateral movement when they are fitted which I’m not sure about. Can the OE wishbones move side to side freely?


Larger bushes are all fairly simple.

Albert has responded to my email and confirmed they go on the inside. That's very good service on a Sunday evening! You don't get that with Autodoc………

This is the part i like the most when all these beautiful parts get assembled and it looks like a museam piece.
Almost a shame to use,................ then again who could resist,......... i couldn't.

I made good progress today

Albert’s bushes all worked nicely


Then the anti roll bar and drop links




I had a small accident with this


And ended up with two of these



I only used the gun because access to the shock housing was tight and it was awkward pushing it up whilst trying to put the bolts in.

Any one got a couple spare?
