My old S2 had that cream dash, I HATED it!

Practicalities aside, I do rather like the cream leather and carpets. They make the interior look very posh and expensive.
Has to be a black dash for me too though, Lee's car has a cracking spec in that respect, and is a really lovely car all round. Emerald, cream, black dash and carbon. Superb.

Had cream interior and leather in my old Avant. Looked a ton better than black interior and quattro seats in my other TDI.

Not been posting much on this thread for a while... Been busy sorting out my current projects... 3 x Mk 2 Golfs....

But I have been doing little odd things to my little lady....

Bought a set of Plasma Dials From S2 Bo....







Pictures of Mine now fitted..... Well Chuffed 100% improvement over the OEM ones!!

I have wired mine so they are on constantly.... Bo Fitted the Carbon Surrounds & SS Dials Which really look good IMHO... & I/We have changed all the bulbs to LED's... I did change the Heater dials but have now changed 'em back to bulbs, as they do give out a fuller & brighter light...

With Flash - Dials On Lights Off...

Aux Dials Lights On...


The only issue I had when fitting them was with the Aux Dials... They are a right PITA to fit... and I thought they didn't work, but it turns out the transformer has to be wired correctly +to + & -to-.....

Great Items & I would recommend them to EVERYONE....

(I have kept the original clusters so I can put the car back to standard if I ever sell her!!).

I have also added - Upgraded the ECU to a Homfries one.....

At first I wasn't impressed.... then I borrowed Andy P's test kit and found we had a leak.... It was the inter-cooler connection behind the bumper... it was forcing the seal open under pressure so Matt my mechanic mate sorted that out & whilst he was doing that we also replaced all the other old small pipework round the head....

Robbing Bar Stewards - Stealers charge £10.00 a meter for the OEM pipe and it only comes in 4 Meter lengths... & £2.00 a clip... that don't frigging fit....

After all that WOW what a difference the ECU makes now.... Well Impressed again...

Other Minor Mods I have done is change ALL the interior lights to LED's



IMO just improves the look inside!!! Cost a small fortune mind there are 10 festoon bulbs just inside the interior.... and they are all different sizes too.... Sods law...

It's just a matter of enjoying her now....

In the Spring I will get the rest of the bodywork sorted by my painters - they are busy respraying one of my Mk2 GTi Golfs at the Mo....

Plan to try out my new Camera tomorrow so will post up some nice new piccys tomorrow....

No surprises with the leak! Did you put a new O ring in?
Have a search for "Mark H mod", its a very common fix and removes the weak spot for good

Some claim they will fit, I wouldn't risk it, the tolerances just aren't there for thermal expansion.

I must have been the third person to fit the brakes before the chip then!!! whats the point in risking crashing the car? My brakes (323mm) have been on the car for 8 years and are surrounded by 16" avus and never given me any bother at all. Yes its a tight fit!
