Hello! Been busy in the garage and with the car this week. First of all, the AC refill didn't went well. Big leak at the pipe between dryer filter and the coupe.. Will change pipe and dryer filter when the parts arrive. Why have any luck?

Forward to the better stuff. I got my new hood insulation with new fasteners, also new air guide as the previous owner planned to put a boost gauge in the ventilation but never did so there was a hole in the center..

    Old hood insulation:

Cleaned hood, also cleaned every plastic trim and clips:

Fresh insulation and cleaned plastic pieces, what a difference it makes. Fun to clean old plastics i think!

My old rear lights/middle piece had some cracks so they needed to be changed. Said and done. Cleaned and waxed the surface before i installed the new rear lights.

Cleaned and waxed behind the lights:

All for tonight, next thing on the list is to change the AC pipe and dryer filter. Hopfully i will have a working AC after that's changed

Nothing special has been done to the car. Just driving at the moment. During the weekend i will have a guy look at the AC as i doesent work, sure there is no gas left, hopfully not a big leak.. Have ordered some small pieces that i will mount/change. Like the air ducts for the brakes "showels". Also i will change the heat/insulation under the bonnet as it looks sad. Today i reached 1200km with the car since i got it up and running. One funny thing that happend today while driving, a BMW Z8 tried to pass, from 100km/h to 200Km/h we were side by side, then he let of the gas. Dont know if he couldn't drive properly, looked up the Z8 online and has 400hp and 500Nm, so he should left me behind..
Don't think i drive like a car thief every time, mostly i just drive like an old man. But when these situations appear i can't resist to give it some throttle...

    First wash since last year!
In Sweden we are of work tomorrow (with full pay). So today i washed the old lady to get ready for a little trip tomorrow. Nothing special, just thought i share some pictures out in the sun.

Remember so well first time i looked at the car in Stockholm, i saw metallic paint job and tought that it was a faulty paint on the car. Always tought that the RS-Blue was a solid paint, not metallic. Now i know better and it is a joy to have the car out in the sunshine. But at the time i looked at it the first time i was not that happy as i tought it was repainted in the wrong colour.. (The car has at some point recieved a new coat of paint)

I like the noise level of the exhaust. But I will get back with some moore feed back later in the season

Test drive of the new exhaust today! It's not quiet, think its almost louder than the old but with no disturbing resonance at cruising speed (Louder outside of the car). So i'm very happy with the exhaust system.
Recieved some new exhaust rubbers from Audi today, so first i mounted them.
Then testdrive in the evening sun. As the car now is more quiet in the coupe i hear my wheel bearings (that needs to be changed), but i will live with that this summer.
Here is a little video, i knew that the motorcycle would smoke me, but i couldn't resist to give him a little battle Enjoy!

Good evening. Today was a fun day as my (hopfully) solution on my crappy exhaust arrived. Sure i could built my own with some effort, but that would be time consuming and at the moment i wan't to drive and have fun with the car. So what do you do? Searched the net for a complete exhaust and found that Super Sprint made complete exhaust systems for S2/RS2 Avant. Called the Swedish supplier and he told me that the system (Race pack, without Catalyst) was in stock at the factory in Italy. So i made an "investment" again.. Think this will be my birthday present to myself this year
The exhaust on the car was poorly made from both stainless and regular steel. The sound/resonance was terrible at most speeds/gears so i couldn't stand it at all. Sure i want it to sound but not in the coupé. I can live with some but not like with the system on the car.
Packed up the stuff (very well packed), looked at it for like 30 min and then i started to dissasemble the old crap. Mounting the new Super Sprint exhaust was no problem and the fitting is spot on. In the future/for next MOT i think i will dissasemble the exhaust and weld on a catalyst. Or maybe just shift back to the crappy exhaust. Last night i also ordered some new exhaust hangers from Audi TRS, but it works as it is now. Well here is some pictures of todays work, really happy. Now i will wait for some sunny days and go out on the road to test the new exhaust.

Some shots of the system fitted on the car:

And last some revs with the new exhaust:

BTW, are the 8 screws, which may be holding the blue bumper cover to the under-tray (or are they to attach a spoiler?), original parts of the stock arrangement? They look like a good idea.

    Cheers!
You always learn something, sounds like you know your seeds!
The 8x screws are factory on the RS2, but those are not from Audi. The clips is fitted on the cover, see the attached picture to see what i mean.
