Had the same issue with my headliner on the B5. Looks like my door cards are leather so should be OK for the time being but I'm sure the foam behind them is destroyed.

It's the glue that secures material that's a PITA to deal with. If your door cards are ok, no real reason to remove them. If the material hasn't been 're done, it's on borrowed time The foam behind just desintergrates.

I'm hoping to start the interior tomorrow. I've got the rear arb to fit and tighten the drive shaft bolts, and any bolts that require the car to be on the ground. Looking forward to working on slightly less dirty components and not having to lay on the ground with my nose touching the chassis of the car...

Would you be able to send me some images of the full exhaust when fitted. I'm going to get my system replaced and want to see how the OEM system is on the car.

Put the bumpers on, wheels on, torque all the bolts required with car on the ground, fit exhaust and fire her up. Need to clean up the wires under the dash and remove aftermarket alarm remnants.
All the interior needs doing as well. Door cards and headliner. I'm aiming for mot 1/4/22.

The exhaust was very grubby and needed a good clean.

I gave the mild steel a coat of high temp Fertan.

I filled up with some cheaper oil which I’m going to use as a flush. The car hasn’t been used for two years and not sure when the oil was last changed. It was pretty clean but I think it will benefit from a flush. I will change it after a short run up to temperature.

    Filled up the hydraulic oil.

Bled the brakes. This tool is brilliant.

Just need to put the wheels and exhaust on then torque things up before I start her up. I also intend to use some cleaner in the water before the new anti freeze goes in.

Got the oil cooler fitted. It seemed more difficult than when I did the Avant but this is slightly bigger and the pipes are stainless braided which makes them a little less compliant.

I need to trim the top bracket a little and paint it black. I filled the cooler with oil.
I also used some high temp tessa tape around one pipe that was touching the cambelt cover to stop it from making a mark.

Anyone have a spare one of these? Holds the top radiator cover.
