The calipers have came up brilliantly, how did you clean them up?

Excellent work as usual Dave, the underside is looking really good. If the brake were seized it make you wonder how they did not notice this as they would have had to push the piston back to fit new pads, you don't need to apply much pressure to push a piston back but if it seized up that must have been hard work!

New caliper carrier bolts
These are 12.9 grade readily available from your bolt shop for a reasonable price. Don't be tricked into paying for Quattro specials.
Torqued up with some thread lock.
And caliper mounted

I finished off the brakes then onto the prop shaft.
I set about it with the wire wheel.
The joints all look good. Even the centre bearing carrier is good. I have a new one but I'm tempted to leave it.
All ready for some paint but it's gone very damp and humid so I will leave it until tomorrow.

The propshaft was painted in zinc then epoxy.
Satin black as top coat when it's fully cured.
Onto front drive shafts.
Taken apart and wire wheel in action again.
A few other bits also done.
Front brake shields done in zinc and epoxy.
I've run out of zinc primer so a few parts will have to wait.
I'm off on holidays from tomorrow so have my first proper break from the car since Christmas.
I'm going somewhere interesting so will post some pics.
