Found this on a v6 we sent for scrap today
not sure how they'd be removed.
Hot air blower (not for hair) and flat plastic or wooden things used in kitchen with teflon pans. Don't know how its named, but very handfull. That thing will be doomed, so better buy some wallmart one instead of stealing some from kitchen .
Glueing sound insulation back is almost same procedure.

Don't forget that you have a B3 style coupe Alex and the S2 is based on the facelift B4 style. Might be that these changes are to do with a model update. Better off fitting a proper roll cage in there, then it won't flex. They are quite wobbly compared to the saloons especially.

He's referring to a spot welded panel, not the sound insulation, would have to break the spot welds or drill them and then chissel off the panel.

All coupes are based on the B3 chassis don't forget Andy, and these reinforcements are not there on 3Bs or early ABY coupes either AFAIK - i'm sure they are an addition to the later coupes, perhaps why they're nowhere to be seen in the FA?
obviously the avant / B4 saloon have a far better rear suspension set-up which will aid handling a lot, and also the saloon has the rear bulkhead which will make the shell stiffer too
TBH looking at some of the sport quattro replica builds on here the B3 coupe chassis is very similar to the Type85 which must have been designed in the late 70's - so really we are running about with 30 year old chassis and suspension technology

Most stuff back on the car now, well mechanically anyway.
Made up new cupro nickel fuel and brake lines and deleted the carbon canister circuit
ABY Fuel filter set-up
rear bumper is back on
rear suspension, prop and diff back on
Welded in S2 strut brace pick-ups
just need a to sort a couple things and torque everything up, then hopefully tomorrow I can get it back on the deck and maybe out into the daylight for a clean
Interior still leaves a lot to be desired
over and out

Bit pissed off, just been torqing up all the bolts and one of the wishbone bolts stripped its thread when i was applying the angle setting
Can't get anywhere near it with a grinder so looks like a right PITA and ages on the dremel (!!) to cut the head off and knock it through - where Gary when you need him
I'll get a new bolt on order monday and sort that.
Other than that all looks good - need to touch up a couple bits of the underseal where I've gouged it putting everything back on
Hopefully get it outside in the sun for a clean later, then i can see all the scratches i've put in it while its been in the garage for 9 months

Quick question, this por15 stuff (think thats the correct one) is it possible to get some that I can just paint on a couple of small bits of rust that will treat it and mean I can spray over the top of it in whatever colour needed or is it more in depth than that?
