That is a great rule - such common sense the Canadians ehh.
Now all the 'murricans need is a rule that lets cars reg'd in Canada for a few years come into the US - hell will likely freeze over first - LOLPaul Nugent

That will never happen!
The only way to get an RS2 into the States "Legally" is the way Saltinot has done.

The link below is to the thread about the one imported to Canada. The owner if the car alludes to 2 rs2's legaly in the u.s. And are allowed to drive on roads. How they did it I have no idea. Only guesses are money or they talked to someone more reasonable than Tom did who saw the historical value of the car.

That guy 'MickO' is talking some balls on there about Porsche spec internals to kapow the 'murricans into thinking this machine is extra special... ALL RS2 engine internals are same as ABY with the exception of the exhaust camshaft. Sure it has funky camshaft pulley and the overdriven water pump and slight modification to water routing, green injectors and oddball FPR - but thats external stuff.Paul Nugent

I went by the paint shop on the way in this morning and nothing has been done yet. The painter has been sick for several days now and is in the bed.
They've mixed up the paint which I took a look at in the can.
I'm an easy going guy with a lot of patience, but I am also eager to get this car back so I can get busy again.
Ho hum.
BTW, I have touched the mysterious pearl RS2 in PA. In the mid 90s I bought two S4s from Sewickely Car Store which is the dealer that services this RS2. Per the dealer, the owner is some sort of automotive engineer and he was able to import the car as a research vehicle. The car was never shipped out of the country. I'm not familiar with the other one.Comment

"I'm an easy going guy with a lot of patience"
Yup, Al and I noticed how patient you were Tom at the festival of speed, especially in the beer tent where you showed huge amounts of patience

Well, compared to the drunk mother of two that got booted out of the tent for cursing at the beer maid because it was taking to long to change out the keg, I'd say I was pretty patient.
