Slight change of plan with where I'm mounting the pump means that not much progress today. I was going to use the headlight washer bottle and put the pump in the engine bay, but I've decided that the last thing the S2 needs is more weight over the front end. So the pump is going in the boot and I'm going to make a tank to sit in the centre of the spare wheel, rough calculations show I should be able to get around 12ltrs in there.
Got the controller installed

I have thought about getting one of these for the A4. Will you be getting the motronic custom mapped to get the most out of it or is it just a little insurance against the fury?

Well the new boost control solenoid arrived, but despite me ordering it from Germany ( expecting a quality product ) it was delivered direct from China and seems to be a pikey knock-off
I've installed it and it does work, but with the same settings I had before I had to up the duty cycle by 10% to get the same boost and today I've had to up it by another 10% so I think it's time to source a genuine GReddy solenoid.
When the roads have quietened down this evening I'll take it out and do another run with the GTech and see if the 60-90mph time has improved.

I think to start with I'll run it as insurance, and maybe have it mapped with it when the boost is turned up.

Well the water injection works! Not a great time to be testing it, the cool eveing air makes the car feel much quicker anyway, but it does feel smoother than before. I need to test it in warmer conditions to see if I can still feel a difference.
It's a shame the 3B ECU cannot give you access to the sensors like the ABY, then I could look at the inlet temp sensor and put some hard numbers to it.
When I fit the ABY ECU I will have that as an added bonus:mischeif:

I already have the S4/S6 upgrade but the handbrake mechanism sticks all the time so I bought a second pair ( remember these Colesy! ) and completely overhauled them. They were stripped back to bare metal in an electrolysis tank, zinc plated and painted with high temp paint. All the seals were replaced with a kit from Bigred. I also drilled the handbrake pivot pin and added a grease nipple, hopefully putting an end to sticking calipers .
